What if your website wasn’t just a lead generator—but the entire CRM system itself? No HubSpot, no Mailchimp, no integrations. Just one system that tracks every visitor, logs every interaction, and automatically qualifies leads before they ever pick up the phone.
We’re building it. Here’s the vision and why it matters.
The Problem with External CRMs
Most small businesses use a patchwork:
- Website (Squarespace, Wix, WordPress)
- Forms (Google Forms, Typeform)
- Email (Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive)
- Analytics (Google Analytics)
- Chat (Intercom, Drift)
Each tool is another login, another integration, another monthly fee. Data lives in silos. You can’t easily ask: “Show me everyone who visited the plumbing page 3+ times but never filled out a form.”
The Alternative: Website = CRM
Instead of treating the website as a dumb lead capture form, build it as the entire data collection and management system:
What It Tracks
- Page views (which pages, how long, scroll depth)
- Form interactions (which forms, which fields, completion rate)
- Chat conversations (full transcripts, sentiment, topics)
- Phone clicks (which pages drove calls, which numbers)
- Email opens/clicks (if you send follow-ups)
- Return visits (frequency, time between visits, behavior changes)
What It Does with the Data
- Scores leads (urgency, budget, fit)
- Segments audiences (by behavior, interest, stage)
- Triggers automation (emails, texts, internal alerts)
- Surfaces insights (top-performing pages, common questions, drop-off points)
- Feeds remarketing (Facebook, Google, email sequences)
All without exporting to external tools.
The Database Schema
Here’s the foundation we’re building:
Visitors Table
CREATE TABLE visitors (
id UUID PRIMARY KEY,
session_id UUID,
ip_address TEXT,
user_agent TEXT,
referrer TEXT,
utm_source TEXT,
utm_medium TEXT,
utm_campaign TEXT,
device_type TEXT, -- mobile, tablet, desktop
browser TEXT,
location TEXT, -- city, state (from IP)
first_seen TIMESTAMP,
last_seen TIMESTAMP
);
Interactions Table
CREATE TABLE interactions (
id UUID PRIMARY KEY,
visitor_id UUID REFERENCES visitors(id),
interaction_type TEXT, -- page_view, form_fill, chat_message, phone_click, email_open
page_path TEXT,
duration_seconds INTEGER,
metadata JSONB, -- flexible storage for interaction-specific data
created_at TIMESTAMP
);
Leads Table
CREATE TABLE leads (
id UUID PRIMARY KEY,
visitor_id UUID REFERENCES visitors(id),
name TEXT,
email TEXT,
phone TEXT,
service_interest TEXT,
urgency TEXT, -- low, medium, high
budget_range TEXT,
lead_score INTEGER, -- calculated from interactions
status TEXT, -- new, contacted, qualified, won, lost
assigned_to TEXT,
created_at TIMESTAMP
);
Email Campaigns Table
CREATE TABLE email_campaigns (
id UUID PRIMARY KEY,
name TEXT,
segment_rules JSONB, -- who qualifies for this campaign
sequence JSONB, -- array of emails with delays
active BOOLEAN,
created_at TIMESTAMP
);
Lead Scoring: Automatic Qualification
The system scores leads based on behavior:
High Score (+10 points each)
- Visited pricing page
- Spent 5+ minutes on service page
- Returned 3+ times
- Clicked phone number
- Started chat conversation
- Filled out contact form
Medium Score (+5 points each)
- Visited multiple service pages
- Scrolled to bottom of page
- Clicked “Learn More”
- Viewed testimonials
Low Score (+1 point each)
- Visited homepage only
- Bounced immediately
- Came from social media (lower intent)
Negative Score (-5 points each)
- Came from spam referrer
- Clicked “Careers” (not a buyer)
- Visited only the blog
When a lead hits 50+ points, the system automatically:
- Tags them as “Hot Lead”
- Sends internal Slack alert
- Triggers immediate follow-up email
- Surfaces them in the admin dashboard
Remarketing Without External Tools
Create custom segments based on ANY combination of data:
Example: “Looked but didn’t buy”
- Visited HVAC service page 2+ times
- Did NOT fill out a form
- Did NOT start a chat
- Last visit was 3-7 days ago
→ Automatically send: “Still thinking about your HVAC system? Here’s what you need to know…”
Example: “High-intent, low-budget”
- Chat asked about pricing
- Mentioned “affordable” or “cheap”
- Didn’t follow up after quote
→ Automatically send: “We get it—HVAC is expensive. Here’s how we make it affordable…”
Example: “Emergency service needed”
- Visited plumbing emergency page
- Clicked phone number
- Did NOT call (phone click tracked, no call received)
→ Automatically send: “Did you solve your plumbing emergency? If not, we’re available 24/7…”
The White-Label Product Strategy
Once we build this for one client (Fixxit Pros), it becomes a product:
Per-Client Deployment
- Clone the codebase
- Add client config file (branding, services, routing rules)
- Deploy to client subdomain (clientname.ourplatform.com)
- Custom domain if they want it (clientwebsite.com)
Onboarding Time: ~2 hours per client
- Branding (logo, colors, fonts)
- Services (HVAC, plumbing, lawn, etc.)
- Contact info (phone, email, address)
- Initial email sequences
Pricing
- Cost: ~$30-60/month (Vercel, Supabase, APIs)
- Price: $300-500/month per client
- Margin: 5-10x
Why It Works
- No external tools to integrate
- Clients log in to ONE system
- Everything they need in one place
- We control the entire stack
- Easy to add features (rolls out to all clients)
Phase 1: What We’re Building First
Visitor Tracking
- Page views, time on site, return visits
- Device/browser detection
- Referrer tracking (where they came from)
Lead Capture
- Chat widget (AI-powered, logged to database)
- Contact forms (structured data collection)
- Phone click tracking (which pages drive calls)
Admin Dashboard
- List of all visitors (with full interaction history)
- Lead list (sorted by score, status, urgency)
- Recent activity feed (live view of what’s happening)
- Basic reports (traffic sources, top pages, conversion rate)
Email Automation
- Welcome sequence (after form submission)
- Follow-up sequence (if no response after X days)
- Re-engagement sequence (for abandoned leads)
No remarketing, no advanced segmentation, no custom reports yet. Just the foundation.
Why This Matters
For clients:
- Everything in one place
- No integration headaches
- No learning multiple tools
- Automated lead qualification
- Better insights into what’s working
For us:
- Build once, deploy many times
- Recurring revenue
- Control the entire experience
- Easy to iterate and improve
- Competitive moat (not just a website—it’s infrastructure)
The Bigger Vision
This isn’t just a CRM. It’s operational intelligence for service businesses.
Today: track visitors, score leads, send emails.
Tomorrow:
- Predict which leads will close (ML on historical data)
- Auto-schedule appointments (integrate with calendar)
- Generate invoices (when job is complete)
- Track customer lifetime value (repeat business)
- Flag at-risk customers (haven’t bought in 12 months)
Eventually, it’s not “website + CRM.” It’s the operating system for running a service business.
Next Steps: Build Phase 1 for Fixxit Pros, validate with real traffic, then white-label and sell to 5-10 pilot clients at $300/month.
Goal: 20 clients by end of 2026 = $6,000-10,000/month recurring revenue from one codebase.
